Struck by an Engine
Mr. Groves, who lives south of town, was struck by a light engine at the Sixth Street crossing Monday, and suffered several broken ribs and many bruises. He was about to cross the track and being hard of hearing, failed to note the coming engine.

Obituary
Mr. Groves died Thursday of last week from injuries received when he was struck by a Santa Fe engine, as reported last week. The funeral was from his home Friday, and was conducted by Elder C. H. Clark.
Lewis Henry Groves was born April 28, 1845 at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, died at his home June 10, 1915, aged 70 years, 1 month, and 10 days.
He was married to Mary Elizabeth Hawk November 19, 1871. To this union was born eight children, 4 sons and 4 daughters, who survive him.
He moved with his family to Ohio in 1882, from there he moved to Kansas in 1885, where he resided until death. He leaves a wife, eight children, one brother, seventeen grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
