Obituary

Jackson Andres was born in North Carolina June 29, 1836 and died in Phillipsburg, Kansas, October 24, 1912, aged 76 years, 4 months and 24 days.

December 7, 1856 he was united in marriage to Sarah Richmond who still survives him. Nine children were born to this union eight of whom are still living, five sons and three daughters. He moved from North Carolina in early life and first settled in Iowa afterwards moving to Nebraska in 1893. He came to Kansas and settled in Phillipsburg. A year and half ago he moved to Phillipsburg, where he was living at the time of his death.

Brother Andres has been in failing health for three years and the last few weeks was confined to his bed. He was a good christian man having joined the Methodist church in 1894, on account of poor health has been deprived of attending church for some time.

A christian man, a good husband, and a kind father has been called away and our sympathy go out to the bereaved family. Services were conducted at the home and at the church by the pastor, Rev. W. J. Ward on. Friday. Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery.
