Frank B. Dolan Dead
Died at his home in Rose Valley township on the 29th day of May, 1892, B. F. Dolan, aged fifty four years. Bro. Dolan was born and raised in Mo. At the breaking out of the Civil war, he enlisted in the confederate army, and served for the most of the time, in company "I," Eleventh Mo. Infantry. When peace was restored he returned to his old home and shortly after married Miss. Alice Dunn, a lady he had known for a number of years. Only one child was born to them, a daughter, and she was called away, by death, at the age of five years. In November 1877, the deceased moved to Pratt (Now Stafford) County and settled on the quarter section on which he died. During his last sickness, he seemed to be fully convinced that the "time of his departure was near at hand," and notwithstanding; all that medical skill and tender nursing could do, last Sunday, his fifty fourth birthday, the summons was received to "come up higher." The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Flabk, a Presbyterian Minister of which church the deceased was a member. The remains were born to their last resting place by six old soldier friends, four of whom had worn the blue and two the gray; The scene at the grave was very affecting. His devoted wife, realizing her loneliness; and his aged mother, bending under the weight of four score years, could scarcely be comforted. But dear friends,. the separation, will only be for a short time and then you will be permitted to meet him, in that bright and happy land where sickness and sorrow, pain ,and death can never enter.
